With open shelving throughout, everything is easy to see and easy to reach. Favourite books, toys, baskets and keepsakes all have a place, making it simple for children to choose what they'd like to play with and just as easy to help tidy away afterwards.

If you're looking to bring Montessori principles into your home, accessible storage plays an important role.

Keeping books, toys, and activity baskets at your child's height encourages independence, allowing children to choose what they'd like to play with, return everything to its place when they're finished playing, and gradually build confidence through everyday routines.

Open Shelving

Large open cubes make it easy to display favourite books, toys, puzzles and activity baskets, helping children see what's available and encouraging independent play.

Designed for Everyday Living

The generous top surface creates space for lamps, family photos, favourite books or treasured keepsakes, helping the Cube Unit feel just as at home in your living spaces as it does in a bedroom or playroom.

Optional Solid Timber Legs

Available with optional solid timber legs, giving the unit a lighter, furniture-inspired look while making it easier to clean underneath.

If you choose a painted Cube Unit, solid timber legs are painted to match as standard. If you'd prefer natural varnished legs instead, simply add a note to your order, and we'll happily make them that way.

Production Lead Time

Every Grandpa's Workshop piece is handcrafted to order.

Our current production lead time is approximately 3 to 4 weeks for the 4 to 8 Cube Units and 4 to 5 weeks for the 9 and 12 Cube Units.
